Panorama view of the Vittalaraya temple complex of Hampi with Anjaneya hill in the background.
This temple is situated northeast of Hampi, opposite the village of Anegondi. This is one of the principal monuments of the city, dedicated to Vittala, an aspect of Vishnu. It is believed to date from the 16th century.
In front of the main temple is the world famous stone chariot or ratha (seen right in the middle of the picture). The gopuras of the temple are the signs of a re-construction effort by the ASI (Archaeological Survey of India).
