Canon Photomarathon competition

I participated in the Canon Photomarathon 2011 held at Bangalore on the 18th of September. For more details visit their official site.

There were themes provided on spot and it was required to shoot pictures extempore and submit one single photo which you thought was best suited for the given theme, 1.5 hours (90 minutes) was allocated for each theme and there were three such themes. Below are my entries for the contest.

Theme 1: Games people play

bargaining game

Theme 2: Building values in next generation Indians

Materialistic Ravana

Theme 3: Thinking Green

save my green friends

The experience of the photo contest was both unique and enthralling. We (me and wife) stretched sinew and let flow the creative juices in the process of imagining, capturing, shortlisting and captioning the photos. In the end we did feel a sense of accomplishment – that we had given our best shot! I cannot help but mention that we were proud of our entries too.

The winners of the contest would have been announced on 1st of October and since I haven’t heard from the Canon Photomarathon team till now we can safely assume that I didn’t make the cut! Thank you!
